Direct Tax Executive

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented CA Inter candidate to join our Direct Tax team. The candidate will get exposure to a wide range of direct tax matters, including tax compliance, assessments, advisory assignments and tax litigation support.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and review of Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, firms and other entities.
• Assist in tax computation, including computation of taxable income and tax liability.
• Support the team in TDS/TCS compliance, including preparation and review of returns and related reconciliations.
• Assist in handling Income Tax assessments, notices and related submissions.
• Conduct research on Income Tax Act, Rules, notifications, circulars and judicial pronouncements.
• Assist in preparation of tax opinions, advisory notes and client responses.
• Support in tax audits and related documentation.
• Assist in reviewing various transactions from a direct tax perspective and identifying potential tax implications.
• Prepare working papers, reconciliations and other documentation as required.
• Keep abreast of changes in direct tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on clients.

Candidate Profile

• CA Inter qualification is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of Direct Tax fundamentals.
• Good knowledge of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
• Candidates with prior experience in a CA firm / tax consultancy will be preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
