Digital Transformation Consultant

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and execute digital transformation strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Assess clients' current technology, processes, operating models, and digital capabilities to identify transformation opportunities.
• Conduct current-state and future-state assessments, gap analysis, maturity assessments, and technology evaluations.
• Design target operating models, digital operating models, and transformation frameworks.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, cloud adoption, application modernization, and technology consolidation.
• Translate business challenges into practical technology and digital solutions with clear business outcomes.
• Develop transformation business cases including ROI, TCO, investment requirements, cost-benefit analysis, and implementation priorities.
• Lead digital transformation programs across cloud, ERP, CRM, data, AI, automation, digital platforms, and enterprise applications.
• Develop transformation roadmaps covering initiatives, dependencies, milestones, resources, investments, and expected benefits.
• Work closely with business, technology, product, data, cybersecurity, and operations teams to execute transformation initiatives.
• Facilitate workshops with business and technology stakeholders to identify pain points, requirements, opportunities, and transformation priorities.
• Evaluate emerging technologies such as AI/ML, Generative AI, cloud, RPA, automation, IoT, APIs, and modern digital platforms.
• Support enterprise architecture and technology teams in defining scalable and future-ready technology solutions.
• Lead or support cloud migration, application modernization, ERP/CRM transformation, data modernization, and digital platform initiatives.
• Establish transformation KPIs and monitor business value, adoption, cost savings, productivity, customer experience, and operational improvements.
• Identify transformation risks, dependencies, organizational barriers, and implementation challenges and develop mitigation strategies.
• Support organizational change management, stakeholder adoption, training, and communication initiatives.
• Manage transformation workstreams, vendors, implementation partners, budgets, and project dependencies.
• Prepare executive-level presentations, transformation business cases, strategy documents, and recommendations.
• Support pre-sales, RFP/RFI responses, proposals, client presentations, and solution development where applicable.
• Mentor consultants and analysts and contribute to the development of transformation methodologies and consulting capabilities.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5 to 10 years of experience in digital transformation, technology consulting, IT strategy, business transformation, management consulting, or related roles.
• Proven experience delivering digital transformation or technology modernization programs for enterprise clients.
• Strong combination of business strategy, technology understanding, consulting, and client-facing capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of digital strategy, enterprise architecture, cloud, application modernization, data, AI, automation, and enterprise platforms.
• Experience developing digital transformation roadmaps, target operating models, technology strategies, and transformation business cases.
• Strong understanding of ROI, TCO, financial modeling, cost-benefit analysis, value realization, and technology investment prioritization.
• Experience with one or more transformation domains such as cloud migration, ERP/CRM transformation, data modernization, AI/ML, automation, digital products, or customer experience transformation.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow, or other enterprise technology platforms is advantageous.
• Experience conducting technology assessments, maturity assessments, gap analysis, process analysis, and operating-model assessments.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, product management, business process transformation, and change management.
• Ability to translate complex technology concepts into business value, financial impact, risks, and actionable recommendations.
• Strong experience facilitating workshops and working with C-suite executives, business leaders, technology leaders, and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent consulting skills including structured problem-solving, strategic thinking, storytelling, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
• Experience managing transformation workstreams, implementation partners, vendors, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
• Experience supporting pre-sales, RFP/RFI responses, proposals, solution design, and client pitches is highly desirable.
• Exposure to Generative AI, intelligent automation, cloud-native technologies, data platforms, cybersecurity, or emerging digital technologies is increasingly valuable.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to guide junior consultants and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; MBA/PGDM is highly advantageous.
• Certifications such as TOGAF, PMP, ITIL, SAFe, Scrum, Prosci/ADKAR, AWS/Azure/GCP, or relevant enterprise-platform certifications are preferred.
