Digital Marketing Consultant, Star Plus

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute digital campaigns across platforms such as Meta, Google and DSPs, with a clear understanding of audience targeting, campaign objectives, media planning and performance.
• Also, lead day-to-day social media communication for Star Plus shows across Instagram, Facebook and other relevant platforms, including copy, creatives, posts, reels and short-form content.
• Drive digital marketing and campaign planning across social, search and programmatic platforms, working closely with internal teams and external agencies.
• Manage always-on social media content while ensuring consistency with Star Plus brand tonality, cultural context and content strategy.
• Partner with digital and media teams to drive JioHotstar growth and revenue, with an understanding of how digital campaigns contribute to user acquisition, engagement, consumption and monetisation.
• Track social, content and platform trends and proactively incorporate relevant trends into the content and digital strategy.
• Provide qualitative creative feedback across visuals, captions, hooks, edits and overall social storytelling.
• Lead influencer and talent-driven content initiatives, including influencer identification, briefing, execution and performance tracking.
• Work with media, digital and platform partners to maximise campaign reach, engagement and performance.
• Monitor campaign and platform performance and use insights to optimise content, media and digital campaigns.
• Edit, review and refine social and digital content based on platform performance, audience behaviour and emerging trends.

What Were Looking For

• 45 years of experience managing social media and digital marketing mandates.
• Experience working with consumer-facing brands, entertainment brands or digital/creative agencies.
• Strong hands-on understanding of Instagram, Facebook and short-form content culture.
• Working knowledge of digital platforms including Meta, Google and DSPs, with an understanding of campaign planning, targeting, optimisation and performance.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing and how it can contribute to business growth, user acquisition, engagement and revenue.
• Strong creative instincts with the ability to write, edit and think natively for social platforms.
• Experience managing influencer and talent partnerships is mandatory.
• Ability to work at the pace and creative rigour required for Star Plus.
• Strong understanding of pop culture, digital trends and audience behaviour.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the entertainment, media, OTT or consumer internet space.
• Familiarity with digital performance metrics, optimisation and platform dashboards.
• Experience working on campaigns for large-scale consumer brands.
• Understanding of JioHotstar or other streaming platforms.

Education

• Graduate or Postgraduate preferred, ideally in Marketing, Communications, Media or a related field.
