Job description:

Digital Commerce Platforms & Omnichannel Operations

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Hercules WordPress websites, Shopify stores, and other digital sales channels.
• Ensure digital commerce platforms are secure, reliable, responsive, accessible, and high performing.
• Manage website functionality, themes, plugins, applications, platform updates, and technical troubleshooting; coordinate with third-party vendors when needed.
• Manage and optimize the Shopify storefront, eBay presence, and future online marketplaces.
• Develop and maintain integrations between Shopify, NetSuite, eBay, and other business applications.
• Configure reliable synchronization of products, inventory, pricing, customer information, and orders across sales channels.
• Support expansion into new marketplaces, B2B commerce platforms, customer portals, and future digital sales channels.
• Monitor platform performance and recommend improvements that simplify the buying process and enhance the customer experience.

ERP Integration & Business Process Automation

• Develop and maintain integrations among Shopify, WordPress, NetSuite, marketplaces, and other business systems.
• Automate the synchronization of product, inventory, pricing, customer, and order data.
• Design workflows that reduce manual data entry, eliminate duplicate work, and improve operational accuracy.
• Support automation of purchasing, fulfillment, shipping, invoicing, order processing, and customer communication.
• Build integrations that allow information to be entered once and used across multiple business systems and online sales channels.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve business processes through APIs, workflow automation, AI tools, and system integration.
• Test, validate, and document integrations, automations, and new functionality before deployment.

Product Information Management & Digital Merchandising

• Maintain accurate product information, including descriptions, specifications, dimensions, weights, images, documentation, pricing structures, and inventory attributes.
• Configure products, variants, collections, categories, and merchandising structures across digital commerce platforms.
• Maintain consistent product information across websites, marketplaces, and business systems from a centralized source whenever possible.
• Coordinate product launches, updates, pricing changes, and discontinued items with Sales,

Marketing, Operations, Finance, and other internal departments.

• Configure pricing logic, quantity breaks, customer-specific pricing, promotional pricing, and purchasing rules based on approved business requirements.
• Develop product bundles, kits, mixed-case purchasing options, and other customer-focused buying experiences.
• Build purchasing workflows that encourage pallet optimization using case quantities, pallet configurations, Ti/Hi specifications, and freight efficiencies.

Digital Commerce Solutions & Business Innovation

• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Management to understand business objectives and develop digital solutions that support company growth.
• Translate business ideas into functional features, workflows, automations, integrations, and system enhancements.
• Develop and maintain shipping logic for standard shipments, oversized products, mixed-product orders, and drop-ship fulfillment.
• Research, evaluate, and implement digital tools that improve pricing competitiveness, product merchandising, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
• Develop dashboards, AI solutions, or integrations that monitor competitor pricing, comparable products, and market trends to support management decisions.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and scalable solutions that enable Hercules to expand products, customers, marketplaces, and services without proportionally increasing administrative workload.
• Document workflows and maintain internal standards for digital commerce systems and processes.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement

• Monitor website performance, sales trends, customer behavior, and operational metrics.
• Support implementation of analytics, tracking, dashboards, and reporting tools in coordination with the Marketing team.
• Measure the effectiveness of new digital initiatives and recommend future enhancements.
• Use data, customer feedback, and operational results to continuously improve digital commerce performance and the customer buying experience

Non-negotiable skills and requirements:

• Strong Shopify experience
• Netsuite CRM is highly preferred
• WordPress experience
• Multiple Website creation and management
• Platform integration experience
• ERP integration knowledge
• CRM integration knowledge
• Field mapping experience
• Ability to build modern, fast, streamlined websites
• Able to handle multiple websites/projects
• Hands-on contributor, not just project participant
• Some exposure to AI automation / process automation
