Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

1. To provide diet to the indoor patients in accordance with their medical problem.
2. To provide food that is healthy and nutritious for the patients.
3. Taking patient-to-patient round ward-wise.
4. To prepare biweekly cycle menu for the indoor patients. Separate menu for Normal, Soft, Diabetic, Renal, Childs diet.
5. Meeting each patient and evaluating his nutritional needs and other aspects like nutritional charting and intake chart of the individual.
6. To prepare everyday diet sheets of the patients.
7. Calculation of the calories and proteins for all RT feeding patients and writing and maintaining of liquid chart.
8. Checking the taste, portion of the meals.
9. Checking the meal trays of all major services in her shifts as per the diet sheets.
10. Checking feed preparations and quantity 2nd hourly for all liquid diet patients.
11. Nutritional charting for every patient on admission and on discharge on the case paper IPD flies.
12. Coordination between the patient and the Kitchen staff.
13. Diets count record for her shift meals.
14. Giving diet counseling sheets to the OPD and IPD patients.
15. To develop diet clinics-Diabetic, Obesity, Lifestyle for OPD patients.
16. Other duty as may be specified by the Department Head.
17. To assist the unit in all aspects of patient care.
18. To record patient data as per unit policy.
19. To develop diet and other protocols to improve patient care.
