Dialysis Technician

Responsibilities and Duties**

• Initiates dialysis according to unit protocol and patient prescription.
• To prepare dialysate according to established procedures
• Reprocess blood tubing's and dialyzer.
• To maintain accurate documentation & Filing
• Initiate Patient admission (Clinical) procedure.
• To document treatment parameters and communicates patient condition and issues to Sr. Technician / AKD In charge
• To monitor patient during dialysis
• To Respond appropriately to dialysis related emergencies
• Follow universal precaution and infection control policy in dialysis unit.
• Implement patient care plan as directed by Nephrologist / Physician.
• Monitor patient outcomes.
• Ensures that the center complies with all AKC policies and procedures.
• To daily update dialysis treatment record in office clinical software.
• Ensures that medical records are complete.
• To attend on call emergency dialysis
• To attend IPD Dialysis
• Work as a team member
