DGM - Talent Acquisition & Strategy

Role Overview

The DGM - HR (Leadership Hiring) will be responsible for driving strategic talent acquisition initiatives, with a strong focus on hiring senior and leadership-level professionals across academic and non-academic functions. The role requires deep expertise in executive search, stakeholder management, and a strong understanding of university/education sector hiring dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership Hiring & Talent Strategy

• Lead end-to-end recruitment for leadership and critical positions including Deans, Faculty Heads, CXO-level, and senior administrative roles.
• Partner with senior leadership to understand long-term talent needs and build proactive hiring strategies.
• Develop and execute leadership hiring frameworks aligned with NAMTECHs growth vision.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including academic leaders, department heads, and management to define role expectations and candidate profiles.
• Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on market intelligence, talent availability, and compensation benchmarking.

Executive Search & Talent Mapping

• Conduct targeted market mapping, headhunting, and competitor analysis for niche and leadership roles.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of high-caliber candidates from academia, industry, and global institutions.

University Hiring Expertise

• Leverage prior experience in university/education sector hiring to attract top academic talent and institutional leaders.
• Understand accreditation requirements, academic structures, and faculty hiring standards.

Candidate Experience & Employer Branding

• Ensure a high-quality candidate experience, especially for senior-level candidates.
• Position NAMTECH as an employer of choice within academic and leadership talent communities.

Process Excellence & Reporting

• Streamline recruitment processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and quality of hire.
• Track and report key hiring metrics, leadership hiring progress, and pipeline health to senior management.

Key Requirements

• 12-18 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, with a strong focus on leadership/executive hiring.
• Proven experience in hiring for universities, higher education institutions, or academic environments.
• Strong expertise in headhunting, talent mapping, and stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to engage with senior leadership and manage confidential hiring mandates.
• Experience in greenfield setups or institutional build-outs will be an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or related field.
• Exposure to international hiring or global academic networks is a plus.
