DGM - MBF Operation

Role Purpose:
Responsible for safe, reliable and efficient operation of Blast Furnace auxiliary systems, ensuring uninterrupted support to BF operations, process stability and equipment availability.

Key Responsibilities :-

• Manage operations of HBT/Stoves, BLT, Dry GCP, PCI/SGP, Cast House, SGP, PCM and BF cooling/utilities.
• Ensure optimum availability, reliability and operating efficiency of all BF auxiliary systems.
• Monitor critical parameters and optimise blast, gas, charging, PCI, tapping and auxiliary utility systems.
• Drive reduction in breakdowns, downtime, process interruptions and energy consumption.
• Coordinate with BF Operations, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Maintenance teams for seamless plant operation.
• Troubleshoot operational abnormalities and implement RCA and corrective actions.
• Establish and maintain SOPs, operating standards and control parameters for critical auxiliary systems.
• Ensure compliance with BF gas, hot metal, molten slag, pressure-system and process safety requirements.
• Manage shift teams and ensure operational discipline, manpower utilisation and technical capability development.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost optimisation and equipment reliability initiatives.
