DFT Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and execute test plans for complex digital designs using ATPG, MBIST, and Synopsys tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects in hardware components.
• Develop and maintain documentation of testing procedures, results, and recommendations for improvement.
• Provide technical guidance on DFT (Design for Testability) best practices to junior engineers.

Job Requirements :

• 6-15 years of experience in electronics engineering with expertise in BIST (Built-In Self Test).
• Strong understanding of ATPG (Advanced Transaction Processing Guidelines), MBIST (Methodology for Built-In Self Test), and Synopsys VCS tools.
• Experience with scan insertion techniques for debugging purposes.

  Strong expertise in:
  Scan (insertion, compression)
  ATPG & fault models
  MBIST / LBIST
  JTAG / Boundary Scan (IEEE 1149.1)
  Good understanding of:
  RTL design & verification
  STA and timing closure
  SoC design flow
   
  Tools
  Synopsys / Cadence / Siemens tools (e.g., TestMAX, Tessent, Modus)
  Simulation tools (VCS, etc.)
  Scripting: TCL, Python, Perl
  Qualifications
  BSEE/MSEE (or equivalent)
  DFT

  / ASIC experience (Staff-level expectation)
  Proven experience in end-to-end
