Role Overview


Key Responsibilities

Enterprise DevOps Implementation: Lead end-to-end DevOps implementation across multiple applications, teams, and technology stacks, including assessment of existing practices, roadmap definition, and implementation.

CI/CD Pipeline Engineering: Design and implement scalable, reusable CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, including build, test, deployment, approvals, release management, and rollback strategies.

Azure Cloud Engineering: Design and implement Azure-based DevOps solutions leveraging services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Container Registry (ACR), Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor, and Azure networking.

Infrastructure as Code: Implement infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates, with reusable modules and environment-specific configurations.

DevSecOps and Governance: Integrate security scanning, dependency and container scanning, secrets management, policy enforcement, and compliance controls into CI/CD pipelines.

Standardization and Reusability: Establish enterprise-wide pipeline templates, reusable workflow libraries, deployment patterns, and engineering standards to support onboarding of multiple applications.

Git and Source Control: Define branching strategies, repository standards, access controls, and release practices for enterprise development teams.

Platform Engineering: Develop standardized developer workflows and self-service capabilities to simplify application onboarding and improve developer productivity.

Monitoring and Reliability: Implement observability, deployment health checks, incident response practices, and continuous improvement of delivery reliability and performance.

Technical Leadership: Work with architecture, development, security, infrastructure, and operations teams to drive adoption, resolve complex technical challenges, and mentor engineering teams.

Required Skills and Experience

8+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering, or related roles, with substantial hands-on implementation experience.

Proven experience delivering large-scale enterprise DevOps transformations or implementations involving multiple applications, teams, repositories, and environments.

Strong hands-on expertise in GitHub Actions, including reusable workflows, composite actions, workflow security, secrets management, environment protection, and deployment strategies.

Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and its cloud infrastructure, identity, networking, security, and monitoring capabilities.

Expertise in CI/CD design, implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization across development, testing, staging, and production environments.

Strong hands-on experience with Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code technologies.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container-based deployment architectures.

Understanding of DevSecOps practices, cloud security, IAM/RBAC, vulnerability scanning, and compliance requirements.

Experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies.

Strong understanding of Git workflows, artifact management, release management, and environment promotion strategies.

Experience defining DevOps standards, implementation roadmaps, technical documentation, and governance models.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience migrating from legacy CI/CD tools GitHub Actions.

Experience implementing enterprise DevOps capabilities across 20+ applications or multiple development teams.

Knowledge of Azure Policy, Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, and enterprise secrets management.

Experience with GitOps, Helm, Argo CD, or similar deployment automation technologies.

Familiarity with observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Experience in regulated environments such as banking, financial services, or payments.

Experience with platform engineering, developer self-service, Golden Paths, and standardized application onboarding.
