Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join the expanding platform engineering team in pune. This role focuses on architecting, maintaining, and scaling continuous integration and deployment pipelines to support mission-critical infrastructure and application delivery. The ideal candidate will possess deep, administrative-level expertise in Git and Jenkins, paired with strong coding proficiency in Python and Shell to drive comprehensive workflow automation and support ongoing cloud suite operations.
Responsibilities
- CI/CD Pipeline Architecture: Design, build, and optimize complex Jenkins pipelines from scratch, leveraging advanced features (e.g., Jenkins Shared Libraries) to standardize enterprise build and release processes.
- Version Control Management: Administer Git workflows, enforce optimal branching and merging strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based development), and resolve complex merge conflicts for distributed engineering teams.
- Workflow Automation: Develop, test, and maintain robust, production-grade automation scripts using Python and Shell to eliminate manual operational tasks and streamline deployment workflows.
- Platform Integration: Collaborate closely with development and infrastructure teams to integrate CI/CD processes with cloud platforms, monitoring tools, and metadata enrichment pipelines.
- Performance Reliability: Proactively identify pipeline bottlenecks, troubleshoot build failures, and implement monitoring to ensure high availability and rapid execution of deployment cycles.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience in DevOps, Build/Release Engineering, or Platform Automation.
- Version Control: Expert-level command of Git, including repository administration, webhook integrations, and GitOps best practices.
- CI/CD Systems: Deep, hands-on experience configuring and scaling Jenkins environments as an administrator.
- Scripting Development: Solid, demonstrable proficiency in Python (e.g., interacting with APIs, data parsing) and advanced Shell (Bash) scripting.
- OS Environment: Strong Linux/Unix system administration skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience supporting cloud migration initiatives or operating within OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) environments.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code tools.
