DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to drive release management, deployment automation and continuous delivery for large-scale product environments. The role requires strong hands-on experience in CI/CD, Kubernetes, cloud-native technologies, Infrastructure as Code and production support, along with an understanding of microservices and REST-based applications.

The engineer will work closely with development, operations and cross-functional teams to automate software delivery processes, manage releases, improve deployment reliability and support highly available production environments.

The technology landscape includes GCP, Kubernetes, Helm, Skaffold, Golang, SQL, REST APIs, Kafka/Pub/Sub, Datadog, SonarQube, Postman and K6. The role also involves modern software engineering practices, including the use of LLMs and agentic workflows within the SDLC.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and reliable software delivery.
• Automate build, testing, deployment and infrastructure provisioning activities to reduce manual effort and streamline releases.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code and support standardized environment provisioning.
• Plan, coordinate and execute application and product releases in collaboration with development and operations teams.
• Support release management activities and drive improvements to deployment processes.
• Work with Kubernetes, containerization and cloud-native technologies to support scalable application environments.
• Use GCP, Helm and Skaffold within cloud-native development and deployment environments.
• Support microservices and REST-based applications across deployment and production environments.
• Work with Kafka and Pub/Sub in event-driven environments where applicable.
• Monitor application and infrastructure health and support troubleshooting of production issues.
• Work with monitoring and engineering tools such as Datadog, SonarQube, Postman and K6.
• Support highly available, high-load production services and help minimize deployment-related downtime.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to improve automation, reliability and software delivery practices.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum delivery and work against a product roadmap.
• Provide estimates for upcoming work and communicate technical solutions effectively.
• Maintain comprehensive technical and operational documentation.
• Stay current with evolving practices across DevOps, microservices and cloud-native development.
• Contribute to QA and broader software-development lifecycle processes.
• Apply understanding of LLMs and agentic workflows within modern software-development practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 6+ years of overall experience, including 3+ years as a DevOps Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience in CI/CD pipeline development and management.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.
• Knowledge of GCP and cloud-based deployment environments.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and deployment automation.
• Knowledge of databases and SQL, including query optimization.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience supporting high-load and high-uptime production services.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of production troubleshooting and monitoring.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across development, operations and other cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of LLMs and agentic workflows within the SDLC.
• Experience with QA processes in software development.
