Devops Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Operating and monitoring the Azure and Databricks platform
- Analyzing and resolving incidents, including thorough root cause analysis of operational disruptions
- Building and further developing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
- Carrying out deployments, releases, and changes in production environments
- Automating recurring operational tasks using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD
- Supporting security, network, and access/permission concepts
- Performance and cost optimization of the cloud platform (FinOps)
- Creating and maintaining operational documentation, runbooks, and emergency procedures
- Supporting knowledge transfer and the further development of operational standards

Requirements:

- Several years of experience operating Microsoft Azure platforms
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Grafana)
- Experience in incident, problem, and change management
- Excellent knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Good knowledge of cloud security, IAM, and networking concepts
- Experience operating production platforms and business-critical applications
- Excellent German and good English skills

Nice to Have:

- Experience with Databricks, Jupyter Notebooks, or comparable analytics environments
- Experience with Miro, Jira, Confluence, or comparable collaboration tools
- Initial experience in an agile work environment, e.g. with Scrum or Kanban
