DevOps Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Azure, AWS, AKS, ECS, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure management. The role involves supporting multiple strategic initiatives, including GenAI Platform and Enterprise Search, while managing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure deployments, environment administration, release activities, and production support operations.

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing complex DevOps activities, troubleshooting critical infrastructure and deployment issues, coordinating with cloud and platform support teams, and maintaining high levels of platform stability, scalability, availability, performance, and reliability across Azure and AWS environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of CI/CD pipeline management, automation, deployment, and release management activities.
• Design, build, maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot end-to-end CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and administer Azure and AWS cloud environments, infrastructure, and deployment processes.
• Manage containerized application deployments using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Amazon ECS, Docker, and related technologies.
• Manage Jenkins and Azure DevOps pipelines, build processes, deployment automation, and release activities.
• Support DevOps operations across strategic initiatives including GenAI Platform, Enterprise Search, and other business-critical applications.
• Manage application and infrastructure deployments across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Perform environment administration and ensure platform stability, availability, scalability, and reliability.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent corrective solutions.
• Independently manage complex DevOps operations and resolve infrastructure, deployment, application, and environment-related issues.
• Automate build, deployment, configuration, release, and rollback processes.
• Troubleshoot AKS/ECS deployments, networking, authentication, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor infrastructure, applications, CI/CD pipelines, logs, system metrics, and platform health to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with Azure, AWS, Jenkins, infrastructure, security, networking, and other platform support teams to drive incidents, service requests, and technical issues through to resolution.
• Work closely with development, QA, security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure smooth application delivery and operational support.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Support incident, problem, change, and service-request management activities for production environments.
• Ensure appropriate security, access control, authentication, configuration, and operational practices are followed across cloud environments.
• Maintain technical documentation related to infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, environment configurations, and operational procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, platform reliability, scalability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Support release planning, production deployments, post-deployment validation, and rollback activities when required.
• Minimize operational and delivery risks while ensuring business continuity and service availability.
• Support ongoing enhancement, maintenance, and operational stability of GenAI and Enterprise Search platforms.

Role Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of overall experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related role.
• Strong hands-on experience in DevOps engineering and cloud infrastructure management.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud environments.
• Strong experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and/or Amazon ECS/EKS.
• Strong hands-on experience with Docker and containerized application environments.
• Strong experience in CI/CD pipeline design, implementation, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
• Experience managing application and infrastructure deployments across multiple environments.
• Strong experience with infrastructure deployment, environment management, release activities, and production support.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, authentication, security, IAM/RBAC, and access management.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex issues across AKS/ECS, networking, authentication, containers, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Git and source-code management tools.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix administration and command-line tools.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, incident management, and production troubleshooting.
• Experience with automated deployment, release, rollback, and environment management strategies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to independently manage complex DevOps activities and production environments.
• Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives, diverse workloads, and competing priorities effectively.
• Strong experience working collaboratively with development, infrastructure, security, and platform support teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Azure AKS, Azure DevOps, Azure Container Registry, Azure Monitor, Azure Networking, and Azure IAM/RBAC.
• Strong experience with AWS ECS/EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, ECR, Load Balancers, and related services.
• Advanced experience with Jenkins pipeline development, administration, shared libraries, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Terraform and reusable Infrastructure as Code modules.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Experience with Kubernetes troubleshooting, deployments, configuration, scaling, networking, and application availability.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and integrating security checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with tools such as SonarQube, Snyk, Checkmarx, Trivy, or similar security/code-quality tools.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Azure Monitor, or CloudWatch.
• Experience implementing blue-green, canary, and rolling deployment strategies.
• Experience with cloud authentication and identity technologies such as Azure Entra ID/Azure AD, AWS IAM, OAuth, SSO, and service principals.
• Experience developing automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash/Shell scripting, or similar technologies.
• Experience supporting GenAI, AI/ML, Enterprise Search, or other cloud-based enterprise platforms.
• Experience supporting high-availability, scalable, and enterprise-grade production environments.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Relevant Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, or DevOps certifications are an added advantage.
• Prior experience coordinating with distributed onsite and offshore teams.
• Experience managing incidents, service requests, changes, and technical escalations in enterprise production environments.
