Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned DevOps Pipeline Architect with deep expertise in Windows desktop application deployment and containerized application deployment to define and drive enterprise CI/CD and release automation strategy.

The role will work closely with delivery, engineering, QA, infrastructure and security teams to design reliable, secure and scalable build, release and deployment pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

Pipeline Architecture & Strategy

• Architect and define end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, reference architectures and standards across technology stacks and customer engagements.
• Design pipelines covering build, test, security scanning, packaging, release and deployment with appropriate quality gates.
• Drive DevOps and DevSecOps adoption, governance and best practices across teams.

Deployment Automation

• Design and implement automated packaging and deployment of Windows desktop applications, including installers, versioning, upgrades and rollback.
• Architect containerized application deployment using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and configuration management to enable consistent, repeatable environments.

Collaboration & Technical Leadership

• Work with delivery, architecture, QA and infrastructure teams to integrate automation, testing and monitoring into pipelines.
• Evaluate and recommend DevOps tools and platforms, and define metrics for pipeline performance and release quality.
• Provide technical direction and mentoring to DevOps engineers, and support customer discussions and solutioning where required.

Required Experience & Skills

• 15+ years of experience in IT, with significant experience in DevOps, build and release engineering, or deployment architecture roles.
• Proven experience in designing enterprise CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
• Strong hands-on experience in Windows desktop application deployment, including packaging formats (MSI/MSIX), silent installation, and deployment tools such as Intune, SCCM or similar.
• Strong experience in containerized application deployment using Docker, Kubernetes and Helm, including container registries and release strategies.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible or similar.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python or Bash.
• Good knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP), source control and branching strategies, and artifact management.
• Understanding of DevSecOps practices, including code, dependency and container security scanning.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to provide architectural direction.

Preferred

• Experience with GitOps approaches (e.g., Argo CD, Flux) and observability tools.
• Experience with automated testing integration in pipelines, including UI and desktop test automation.
• Experience supporting pre-sales, solutioning and customer-facing technical discussions.
• Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications.
