About us
My Country Mobile runs a multi-brand UCaaS / CCaaS platform used by businesses in the US, Canada and India. One shared, multi-tenant codebase powers cloud calling (VoIP/SIP), SMS, video, contact-center dialers, CRM integrations and AI voice agents.
Key responsibilities
Server & Linux administration
- Set up, configure, patch and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS/Rocky)
- Manage web and app servers: Nginx, Apache, Node.js / PM2, PHP-FPM, Python (Gunicorn/Uvicorn)
- Handle disk, memory, CPU and process tuning; troubleshoot slow or crashing services
- Manage users, SSH keys, cron jobs, log rotation and server hardening
AWS cloud management
- Provision and manage EC2, VPC, sub-nets, security groups, ELB/ALB, Auto Scaling, S3, RDS, Route 53, Cloud-front, IAM, Lambda
- Design for high availability across multiple Availability Zones
- Track and reduce AWS spend: right-sizing, reserved/savings plans, cleanup of idle resources
- Write infrastructure as code (Terraform or Cloud-formation) so environments can be rebuilt reliably
API & application deployment
- Deploy and manage REST APIs, web-hooks and Web-socket services in production
- Configure API gateways, reverse proxies, load balancing, rate limiting and CORS
- Manage SSL/TLS certificates, domains and DNS records
- Work with developers to debug API errors, timeouts and performance issues
Databases, backups & DR
- Administer MySQL / PostgreSQL / MongoDB and Redis: replication, tuning, slow-query fixes
- Own automated backups, restore testing and disaster-recovery run-books
Security & compliance
- Apply least-privilege IAM, MFA, secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager / Vault)
- Configure firewalls, WAF, fail2ban and DDoS protection; patch vulnerabilities on time
- Support audit and compliance needs (access logs, encryption at rest and in transit)
Telecom infrastructure support
- Support servers running VoIP components (Asterisk / Free-switch / Kamailio, RTP media) alongside the dev team
- Manage UDP/TCP port ranges, NAT and network settings for SIP and media traffic
Must-have skills
- 25 years managing production Linux servers
- Hands-on AWS: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, ELB, Route 53, CloudWatch
- Nginx / Apache configuration, reverse proxy, load balancing, SSL setup
- Deploying and troubleshooting REST APIs (Node.js, PHP or Python back-ends)
- Docker and at least one CI/CD tool (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins)
- Bash scripting; basic Python for automation
- MySQL or PostgreSQL administration, backups and restores
- Networking basics: DNS, TCP/IP, ports, firewalls, NAT, VPN
- Git and a disciplined change process (no cowboy fixes on production)
- Clear written communication for runbooks and incident notes
Good-to-have skills
- Terraform or CloudFormation in production
- Kubernetes (EKS) and Helm
- Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or Loki stacks
- Redis, Rabbit MQ or Kafka operations
- VoIP / SIP server experience (Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, RTPengine)
- Multi-region setups and CDN tuning (CloudFront, Cloudflare)
- Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001 or GDPR controls
- AWS certification (SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect Associate, or DevOps Engineer)
How to apply
Send your CV with a short note on the largest AWS or server setup you've managed (number of servers, traffic, your role). Include any GitHub, Terraform or scripting work you can share.
