About the Role

ETIOT Innovations Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Dev Team Lead – Full Stack & AI to lead our software engineering team and drive the development of scalable, secure and AI-enabled technology products.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who can balance architecture, coding, team leadership, client requirements and delivery. The ideal candidate should have strong full-stack development experience, exposure to AI/GenAI technologies, and experience working in a service-based IT environment where delivering solutions for multiple business requirements, clients and timelines is critical.

As we build for an increasingly AI-first technology landscape, the candidate should be comfortable using AI-assisted development tools, integrating AI/LLM capabilities into applications, and identifying opportunities to make software development and business processes more intelligent and automated.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of full-stack developers and software engineers.
• Own technical design, architecture and implementation of web, cloud and AI-enabled applications.
• Conduct code reviews and establish coding, testing, security and documentation standards.
• Make technology and architecture decisions considering scalability, maintainability, security and cost.
• Identify technical risks and proactively resolve engineering challenges.
• Promote engineering best practices including clean architecture, design patterns, reusable components and automated testing.

Full-Stack Development

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance web applications and enterprise solutions.
• Work across frontend, backend, APIs, databases and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of modern frontend frameworks such as React / Angular / Vue.js.
• Strong backend experience with technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, .NET or equivalent.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party systems and services.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc.
• Build secure, scalable and maintainable microservices and distributed applications where required.

AI & GenAI Engineering

• Lead the adoption of AI-first software development practices within the engineering team.
• Integrate Generative AI, LLMs and AI APIs into enterprise applications and business workflows.
• Experience with platforms/models such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Gemini, Claude or equivalent will be valuable.
• Develop and integrate AI-powered features such as conversational interfaces, intelligent search, document processing, summarization, classification, recommendations and automation.
• Understand and work with concepts such as RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, AI agents and tool/function calling.
• Evaluate AI-generated code and ensure production-grade quality, security and maintainability.
• Identify opportunities where AI can improve product capabilities, engineering productivity and customer outcomes.

Cloud, DevOps & Engineering Practices

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS / Azure / GCP.
• Good understanding of CI/CD, Git, Docker and containerized application deployment.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to improve deployment, monitoring and application reliability.
• Understanding of cloud-native architecture, scalability, logging, monitoring and observability.
• Ensure applications follow appropriate security and performance practices.

Service Industry & Delivery

• Work closely with clients, business stakeholders, project managers and cross-functional teams.
• Translate business and client requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in technical discussions, requirement analysis, estimation and solution planning.
• Manage multiple priorities and ensure timely delivery of committed milestones.
• Experience in a software/IT services organization with client-facing project delivery is strongly preferred.
• Ability to understand changing client requirements and provide practical, scalable technical solutions.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with significant experience in full-stack development.
• Prior experience in a Technical Lead / Team Lead / Senior Software Engineer role.
• Strong hands-on programming and software engineering skills.
• Strong experience with at least one modern frontend and backend technology stack.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, databases, authentication, application architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience building and deploying production-grade applications.
• Good understanding of Git, CI/CD, Docker and cloud environments.
• Practical experience with AI/GenAI technologies and APIs.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
• Experience mentoring developers and conducting code reviews.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to take ownership of projects from requirement → architecture → development → deployment → support.
