Developer Executive

Role summary
We are looking for a Junior Developer to build and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, Express and MongoDB. You will work with senior engineers to ship features, fix bugs and deploy code on AWS, learning best practices along the way.
Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain REST APIs and backend services using Node.js, TypeScript and Express
• Design MongoDB schemas and write efficient queries with Mongoose
• Write clean, readable and well-typed code that follows team standards
• Add request validation, error handling and logging to every endpoint
• Debug and fix production and staging issues with guidance from senior engineers
• Deploy and monitor services on AWS with the team
• Write unit and integration tests for the code you ship
• Take part in code reviews, sprint planning and daily stand-ups
• Document APIs and technical decisions

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech, BCA, MCA or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field
• 1-2 years of hands-on backend development with Node.js
• At least one live project or GitHub repository you can walk us through
• Good understanding of HTTP, JSON and REST principles

Good to have

• Experience with testing tools such as Jest or Mocha
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to Redis, message queues or microservices
• Basic knowledge of frontend frameworks such as React
