Desktop Support Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide desktop support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity issues using BitLocker encryption technology.
• Configure firewalls, VPNs, and MS Outlook email clients for secure communication.
• Perform OS installations and updates on Windows platforms.
• Troubleshooting (Software, hardware, printer & application)
• Network support L1 (know how of IP config, MAC binding, basic troubleshooting
• Software and hardware installation, configuration, setup.
• Inventory management (hardware and software)
• Assist business in IT project rollouts.
• AV, Security and Patch management.
• Knowhow of OS installations (windows & macOS), configuration, policy deployment.
• Maintain proper logs and records.
• Ensure data backups and storage.
• Knowledge on Access point / Firewall
• Knowledge on basic network
• Hardware knowledge ( Desktop/Laptop/Printer )
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 1-6 years of experience in Desktop Support with a degree in B.A or B.C.A (Any Specialization).
  
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals including LAN/WAN configuration and troubleshooting.
  
• Proficiency in installing/configuring desktops/laptops; hardware networking; ticketing tools; MS Office Outlook configuration.
