Desktop Support Engineer_Immediate Joiners_Goa

Role & responsibilities

Respond to user inquiries and provide technical assistance via phone, email, chat, or in person.

Diagnose and resolve hardware issues including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.

Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and software applications.

Perform system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance.

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access in Active Directory or similar environments.

Assist with network connectivity issues including VPN, Wi-Fi, and wired connections.

Set up new workstations, including imaging, configuration, and deployment.

Document support activities, solutions, and user interactions in ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk).

Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets.

Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when needed.

Provide training or guidance to users on basic IT tasks and best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

Strong knowledge of Windows environments.

Familiarity with computer hardware, peripherals, and troubleshooting techniques.

Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and common business applications.

Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

Excellent English communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
