Desk Engineer - BTG (Thermal Power Plant) || Simhapuri - Nellore

Role

To operate and monitor BTG systems through DCS, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient power generation in compliance with operational procedures and safety regulations.

Role & responsibilities

• Operate and monitor BTG systems via DCS and control panels
• Track plant parameters, performance data, and log records
• Handle emergencies such as blackouts, safe shutdowns, and black starts
• Diagnose operational abnormalities and coordinate maintenance
• Implement performance optimization measures (heat rate, fuel efficiency)
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
• Maintain shift logs, performance reports, and system updates in SAP/CMMS
• Coordinate with field operators and other departments for smooth operations

Functional Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of BTG systems and steam turbine operations
• Proficient in DCS operation and SAP/CMMS tools
• BOE

Preferred candidate profile

B.E. / B.Tech Mechanical / Electrical / Power Engineering graduate or equivalent degree with BOE Certification along with 5+ years of experience in Desk Operations of Thermal Power Plant.
