Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative healthcare products using SolidWorks.
• Create 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
• Perform design calculations, feasibility studies, and material selection.
• Apply GD&T, DFM, and DFA principles to optimize product design and manufacturability.
• Support prototype development, product testing, validation, and production handover.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Sales to ensure successful product development.
• Maintain PLM documentation and process SKU/code creation.
• Support product costing, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Review customer specifications and tender requirements to recommend effective technical solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

2+ years of experience in Mechanical/Product Design.
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (mandatory).
Experience in preparing manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
Working knowledge of GD&T, DFM, DFA, and product validation processes.
Experience in medical furniture, healthcare equipment, Hospital Bed furniture, office furniture, or manufacturing industries will be an added advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
