Role Overview

We are looking for a mid-level XR Designer to join our 3D Visualization & Digital Experiences team, working across architecture, infrastructure, engineering and city-scale projects.

The role combines 3D visualization, real-time environments and Extended Reality (XR) to develop immersive and interactive experiences for infrastructure projects, stakeholder engagement, training, design review and digital-twin initiatives.

The ideal candidate should understand how built infrastructure is designed and represented in 3D, and be able to translate engineering and architectural models into optimized, visually compelling and interactive real-time environments.

Key Responsibilities

Develop XR/real-time visualization environments for architecture, infrastructure, industrial, transportation, water, data center and city-scale projects.

• Work with engineering, architecture, master planning and visualization teams to translate project requirements into effective XR experiences.
• Prepare, optimize and integrate 3D models, environments, materials, lighting and assets for real-time applications.
• Develop interactive experiences using Unreal Engine 5 and/or Unity, including basic interaction logic and UI implementation.
• Understand and work with Blueprint-based interaction workflows in Unreal Engine; coding expertise is not mandatory.
• Support VR, AR and interactive visualization solutions for stakeholder engagement, training, design review and project communication.
• Collaborate with developers, 3D artists, BIM/engineering teams and data specialists to integrate visualization workflows with emerging Digital Twin and Omniverse ecosystems.
• Explore emerging real-time visualization and automation workflows, including NVIDIA Omniverse, OpenUSD and procedural/automated 3D workflows.
  
  

Required Technical Skills

Real-Time / XR

• Unreal Engine 5 – intermediate to advanced proficiency
• Unity – intermediate proficiency
• Understanding of VR/AR/XR workflows and interaction design
• Basic understanding of Unreal Blueprints and interactive logic
• Basic UI/UX implementation within real-time environments
  
  

3D & Visualization

• 3ds Max
• SketchUp
• Twinmotion
• D5 Render or similar real-time rendering tools
• Strong understanding of 3D modeling, materials, lighting, cameras and environment creation
• Experience with model optimization for real-time/XR applications
  
  

Emerging Technology

• Awareness of NVIDIA Omniverse and OpenUSD workflows
• Interest in Digital Twins, procedural modeling and automation
• Understanding of common 3D/model exchange workflows and formats
  
  

Domain Knowledge

Experience working with built infrastructure, architecture, urban development, industrial facilities, transportation, water infrastructure, data centers or other engineering-led projects is highly desirable.

The candidate should be comfortable working with engineering and architectural information and understand how 3D visualization supports the wider project lifecycle.

Experience

Mid-Level | Typically 3–6 years of relevant experience

Experience in XR, real-time 3D visualization, architectural visualization, infrastructure visualization, gaming environments or immersive digital experiences would be relevant, with preference for candidates who have worked on architecture/engineering/infrastructure projects
