Design Manufacturing Engineer

We're Hiring: Design Engineer – SolidWorks (Sheet Metal & Product Development)

Vadodara, Gujarat | Full-time | 3–4 years experience

About Us

Czar Metric System Pvt. Ltd. is India's first indigenous multi-fuel dispenser manufacturer. Our products carry PESO, OIML, ATEX, BIS and Legal Metrology certifications and are deployed with leading oil marketing companies in India and the GCC. As we expand manufacturing in Vadodara, we're looking for a design engineer who can take products from concept to the shop floor.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop sheet metal enclosures, frames, and mechanical assemblies in SolidWorks, from concept through production release
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings with correct GD&T, flat patterns, bend allowances, and BOMs
• Work directly with fabrication vendors and our shop floor on laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, and powder coating so designs are easy and economical to build
• Support new product development: prototyping, testing, design iterations, and cost reduction (DFM/DFA)
• Maintain drawing revisions, ECNs, and technical documentation for certification and audit needs
• Coordinate with electrical, electronics, and quality teams to integrate components into the final product

What We're Looking For

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 3–4 years of hands-on SolidWorks experience, including the Sheet Metal and Weldments modules
• Experience designing parts that have gone into production sheet metal fabrication (laser cutting, bending, welding)
• Working knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and preparing manufacturing drawings
• Involvement in at least one product development cycle from prototype to production

Good to Have

• Experience with outdoor or industrial enclosures (IP rating, corrosion protection)
• Exposure to hazardous-area equipment, fuel dispensing, or the oil & gas sector
• Familiarity with sheet metal costing and vendor development
• Basic knowledge of FEA / SolidWorks Simulation
