Qualification: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering field.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will assist in the design, development, and testing of components, products, or systems under the guidance of senior/ manager, contribute to cost-reduction and quality improvement initiatives, and assist in resolving design-related issues. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your engineering skills and contribute to real-world projects in from concept to production.
Key responsibilities & Duties:

• Work on the design and development of engineering drawings and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
• Support in creating prototypes, performing simulations, and running basic analysis (e.g., stress, thermal, or Electromagnetic).
• Contribute to VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) projects to improve product value, reduce cost, and enhance manufacturability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and procurement to ensure design feasibility.
• Support problem-solving initiatives, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (e.g., 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone analysis)
• Create and update existing technical drawings by using GD & T.
• Conduct research on materials, industry trends, and new technologies.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to problem-solving sessions.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the design process.

Work experience and skills:

• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical design principles.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor).
• Basic understanding of engineering principles and design processes.
• Familiarity with contact systems, contactors and Battery Disconnect Unit (BDU) design or integration is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with VAVE methods and structured problem-solving tools.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work in a team environment
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4-6 years of experience in a design or engineering role.
• Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL, MATLAB).
• Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME, ISO, or IEC.
• Experience with contact systems, contactors and Battery Disconnect Unit (BDU) design.
