About the Role

QualPro Aluminium is looking for a Design Engineer with strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in AutoCAD, civil engineering and façade/glazing systems.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of Unitized Glazing and other façade systems, along with the ability to develop accurate drawings and coordinate effectively with project and execution teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop detailed 2D drawings and technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop façade, glazing and aluminium system drawings as per project requirements.
• Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings and installation details.
• Work on designs related to Unitized Glazing, Stick Glazing, Curtain Wall Systems and other façade systems.
• Interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings.
• Coordinate with project, site and execution teams to resolve design and technical issues.
• Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, specifications and constructability.
• Incorporate design changes and prepare revisions based on project requirements.
• Assist in material take-offs, quantity calculations and technical documentation where required.
• Ensure drawings and designs comply with project specifications and applicable standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in design engineering, preferably in the façade, aluminium, glazing or building envelope industry.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of Unitized Glazing, Stick Glazing, Curtain Wall Systems and façade construction.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Good understanding of aluminium profiles, glass, façade components and installation methods will be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing technical drawings.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with prior experience in façade design, glazing, curtain wall systems or aluminium building-envelope projects will be preferred.
