Role Summary:
Support project and site management teams by preparing and checking equipment and tooling designs, BOMs, and drawings. Ensure manufacturability, compliance with standards, and accurate documentation for steel production and conveying systems.
What Youll Do:
- Collaborate with project and site management teams to manage drawings and BOM preparation
- Check drawing attributes, including description, notes, weight, material, and size as per BOM and checklist
- Monitor, compile, and report Key Performance Initiatives (KPIs)
- Review designs for manufacturability and assembly
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis, clash checks, and alternate material selection
- Calculate welding length and paint surface area
What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):
- Good knowledge of design concepts and BOM generation
- Experience in design and drafting of equipment, tooling, sheet metal, machining, structure, or piping components
- Knowledge of key design concepts: DFM, DFA, DFS, tolerance stack-up, clash checks
- Understanding of limits, fits, material standards, and equivalents
- Familiarity with manufacturability analysis, design projects, and release workflows
- Knowledge of conveyor and conveying systems, including IS/DIN/other standards
- Proficiency in Creo 7.0 or higher, Excel, Access, and MS Office
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Team player with effective interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to solve problems and make quick decisions
Good to Have (Optional - only if mentioned):
- Experience in Steel Production System / IHM equivalent
- Experience working with EOT Cranes
- Experience with PLM-Windchill
Qualifications:
B.E. / B. Tech (Mechanical / Industrial / Production / Automotive)
