Design Engineer

We are looking candidates with below experience.

1. Creo Modelling and Drafting

• The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Creo Parametric (preferably Creo parametric version 8 & above) for 3D modelling and 2D drafting.
• The role primarily involves solid modelling, sheet metal design, weldments, and assembly modelling. Basic exposure to surface modelling would be an added advantage.
• Candidates should be capable of preparing engineering drawings as per ISO standards , review engineering drawings & managing BOMs using PLM systems such as Teamcenter will be preferred.

2. Weldment Drawings

• Create and interpret weldment drawings.
• Understand welding symbols and standards (ISO/AWS).
• Develop fabrication drawings for welded structures.
• Understand manufacturing and assembly considerations related to weldments.

3. Mechanical Engineering Knowledge

• GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) with practical application experience as per ISO 1101 and/or ASME Y14.
• Engineering drawing standards and interpretation.
• Tolerance Stack up Analysis & design principles.
• Manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
• Material selection and common engineering materials
• Basic strength of materials and mechanical design principles
• Design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA) .
• Basic engineering calculations and problem-solving skills

Additional Expectations

• Ability to independently execute design tasks with minimal guidance.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in mobile equipment, mining equipment, construction equipment, or heavy engineering industries will be an added advantage.
