Design Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop Vacuum Furnace, Pressure vessels, including chambers, heating elements, cooling systems, and control mechanisms.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
• Perform thermal and structural analysis to ensure performance under high-temperature and vacuum conditions.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors for material selection and manufacturability.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation of furnace designs.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, ASTM, ISO) and safety regulations.
• Document design processes, BOMs, and technical specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Education: Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering (masters preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 3+ years in mechanical design, preferably in vacuum furnaces, thermal systems, or industrial equipment.
• Technical Skills:

o SolidWorks (mandatory)

o Knowledge of vacuum technology, heat transfer, and thermodynamics

o Familiarity with materials for high-temperature applications (refractory metals, ceramics, alloys)

o Understanding of manufacturing processes (welding, machining, sheet metal fabrication)

o Exposure to FEA/CAE tools for thermal and stress analysis

• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
