Design Engineer

1. Piping designer roles description. .

• Preparation of piping layout and arrangement drawings for offshore platforms.
• Drafting piping plans, sections, elevations, and detailed piping layouts.
• Preparation of piping isometric drawings based on approved 3D models and P&IDs.
• Drafting pipe support drawings and support details.
• Preparation of equipment piping arrangement and nozzle orientation drawings.
• Updating drawings based on engineering comments, design changes, and client requirements.
• Incorporating P&ID information, line numbers, pipe sizes, specifications, and flow direction into drawings.
• Preparing piping spool and fabrication drawings where required.
• Checking dimensions, elevations, coordinates, clearances, and drawing consistency.
• Coordinating piping drawings with Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and HVAC disciplines.
• Incorporating clash-check and model-review comments into piping drawings.
• Preparing and updating piping MTO/BOM information as required.
• Maintaining drawing revisions and ensuring drawings follow project drafting standards.

2. Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom designer roles description. .

• Preparation of Electrical, Instrumentation, and Telecom layouts for offshore platforms.
• Drafting cable tray layouts, routing plans, sections, and detailed arrangement drawings.
• Preparation of electrical equipment layouts, lighting layouts, small power layouts, and equipment arrangement drawings.
• Preparation of Instrumentation layouts, instrument location plans, JB layouts, and instrument cable routing drawings.
• Preparation of Telecom equipment layouts, communication system layouts, and telecom cable routing drawings.
• Drafting cable tray support and installation details.
• Preparation and updating of cable schedules, termination drawings, and cable routing information as required.
• Incorporating information from equipment layouts, cable schedules, instrument index, I/O lists, and project specifications.
• Coordinating Electrical, Instrumentation, and Telecom layouts with Piping, Structural, Mechanical, and other disciplines.
• Checking clearances, accessibility, routing, and maintainability requirements.
• Updating drawings based on engineering changes, client comments, and project requirements.
• Maintaining drawing revisions and ensuring compliance with project drafting standards.

3. Civil and Structural designer roles description.

• Preparation of civil and structural drawings for offshore platform projects.
• Drafting structural general arrangement drawings, plans, elevations, and sections.
• Preparation of structural framing, deck, platform, and module arrangement drawings.
• Drafting steel structures, beams, columns, braces, girders, handrails, ladders, stairs, and walkways.
• Preparation of structural connection and fabrication detail drawings.
• Drafting equipment support structures, pipe racks, platforms, and miscellaneous steel details.
• Preparation of foundation and support arrangement drawings where applicable.
• Incorporating structural design information, dimensions, levels, coordinates, and member sizes into drawings.
• Preparing civil layouts, concrete details, foundations, and site-related drawings as required.
• Coordinating Civil & Structural drawings with Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom, and other disciplines.
• Updating drawings according to design changes and maintaining drawing revisions.
• Preparing material take-offs (MTO/BOM) and fabrication drawings as required.
• Ensuring drawings comply with project specifications, drafting standards, and applicable offshore requirements.
