Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop investment casting dies, patterns & tooling as per customer requirements.
• Prepare and modify 2D drawings & 3D models using CAD software.
• Develop tooling considering shrinkage, machining allowance, draft & casting requirements.
• Review customer drawings and ensure design feasibility for investment casting.
• Coordinate with Production, Foundry, QA/QC & NPD teams for smooth development.
• Support new product development, tooling trials & modifications.
• Identify and resolve die/tooling-related casting issues.
• Maintain design drawings, tooling records & revision control.
• Ensure designs meet quality, dimensional and production requirements.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
• Experience in Investment Casting Die & Tool Design preferred.
• Strong knowledge of 2D & 3D CAD software.
• Understanding of casting design, shrinkage, machining allowance & tooling.
• Experience in new product development and die development.
• Good knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good coordination with NPD, Production, Quality & Foundry teams.
• Candidates with relevant foundry / investment casting experience will be preferred.
