Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating Harness & Schematic drawings
• Converting outdated legacy documentation/drawing into fully validated, manufacturing-ready 2D drawings and 3D CAD models
• Recreate and update older 2D drawings into modern CAD environments following current drafting and corporate standards.
• Build BOM from legacy drawings
• Validate and cross-reference existing Bills of Materials (BOM) against legacy schematics to ensure precise part numbers, manufacturer compliance, and quantities.
• Perform physical teardowns and reverse engineering of actual wire harness sample

Measure the necessary dimensions & identify the components to create new drawings & BOM

Skills Required:

• Experience: 25 years of dedicated experience in electrical wiring harness design and reverse engineering.
• CAD Software Expertise: Proficiency in major harness design tools

(, AutoCAD Electrical, Draft sight).

• Component Knowledge: Deep understanding of automotive/aerospace/industrial electrical components (e.g., TE Connectivity, Molex, Amphenol, Deutsch) and wire insulation types (e.g., TXL, GXL, Tefzel).
• Blueprint Reading: Exceptional ability to interpret legacy, hand-drawn, or scanned PDF schematics and engineering notes.
