Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Generate spindle assembly drawings and component drawings based on customer specifications and application requirements.
• Prepare and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing and procurement.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
• Interpret customer drawings, technical requirements, and specifications.
• Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and dimensional tolerances as per design standards.
• Develop detailed production drawings with appropriate fits, tolerances, surface finishes, and material specifications.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Quality, and Service teams for design-related requirements.
• Support design modifications, engineering changes, and product improvements.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet quality requirements.
• Maintain design documentation, revision control, and engineering records.
• Assist in prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
• Provide technical support to internal departments and customers when required.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience of Solid works

Knowledge of Geometric Tolerancing and dimensional tolerances
