Role Summary:
The position involves Product Design Development, including concept creation, detailed design, and preparation of manufacturing drawings. This role also require analytical engineering, engineering change documentation and change management activities, including ECN (Engineering Change Notice) execution, drawing creation and modification, and BOM (Bill of Material) management using PLM tools.
The role requires a strong understanding of engineering design fundamentals, industry design standards, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT), and manufacturing processes to ensure robust, manufacturable, and cost-effective product designs.
Requirement:
- Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2 - 5 years of experience or Master s Degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent with up to 2 years of experience
- in Design engineering of Refrigeration / Air Conditioning applications and have good understanding of HVAC systems
- Strong understanding of CAD tool to create 3D model and 2D drawing. Preferable tool is Unigraphics-NX
- Good understanding of PLM workflow, BOM and ECN is preferable
- Hands-on experience in concept development, structural mechanics and mechanical design principles.
- Proficient in applying the technical understanding and design principles to the product design
- Good understanding in manufacturing process like casting, machining, sheet metal, etc ability to corelate manufacturing requirements is advantageous
- Experience in applying analytical and data-driven approaches to support engineering decisions
- Could have knowledge of HVACR system, compressor and refrigeration cycles
- Knowledge of Engineering tools like DFMEA, VAVE, DOE is advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Well conversant with presentation through MS tools and experience of presentation
- Excellent command over English language both written and verbal
- High on Problem Solving Decision Making

Key Responsibilities:
Individual Contributor -
- Create, review, and modify 3D model 2D drawings in compliance with engineering standards
- Develop concept and perform analytical calculations to support design requirement
- Strong understanding of GD T and tolerance stack-up to verify part fitment and provide solutions
- Ensure alignment of design changes with manufacturing feasibility and product requirements
- Maintain high quality and accuracy in all engineering deliverables
- Execute Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and ensure accurate implementation in design documentation
- Manage and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) within PLM systems
- Work extensively with PLM tools for data management, version control, and release processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project understanding and execution and conduct Design reviews
- Contributing to developing new processes and helping to improve current process to create value and Increase quality speed of delivery
- Contribute to innovation and ability to identify automation possibilities
