Job Summary
Artasia is looking for a Design Engineer with hands-on experience in AutoCAD and Mastercam to develop production-ready drawings and support CNC, furniture manufacturing and engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and modify 2D technical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD.
- Develop accurate production and mechanical drawings with dimensions and tolerances.
- Prepare BOM, component details and routing/mechanical schedules.
- Use Mastercam for CNC programming/toolpath and machining requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, CNC, Engineering, Purchase and Design teams.
- Modify designs based on production feedback and manufacturing requirements.
- Support CNC machining, fabrication and furniture manufacturing activities.
- Troubleshoot technical/design issues and maintain drawing revisions and documentation.
Required Skills
- AutoCAD – Mandatory
- Mastercam – Mandatory
- SolidWorks – Added advantage
- Good knowledge of mechanical drawings, dimensions & tolerances
- Understanding of CNC machining and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of BOM, routing and production drawings
- Good problem-solving and coordination skills
- Strong attention to detail
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in CAD Design, Mechanical Design, CNC, Furniture Manufacturing or Fabrication.
- Candidates from furniture/CNC manufacturing backgrounds will be preferred.
- Immediate joiners / short notice period preferred.
