Design Engineer

We are hiring for our client for the Production Design Engineer position for the Chengalpattu- Mahindra World City Location. 

Job Description:

Responsible for the designing and detailing of hot runner system from high level

concept, 3D modeling to detailing of prints and bill of materials with a focus on 100%

quality.

Responsibilities:

• Engineer an entire hot runner from concept to release for all common molds using CAD and BaaN

• with a high level of attention to detail.

• Follow well-established design rules and practices.

• Work with manufacturing to help resolve production issues.

• Maintain thorough job file documentation.

• Check others work and make specific recommendations for fixes as well as

improvements.

• Demonstrate and maintain the required quality, efficiency and on-time

requirements. 

Technical/Professional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Entry-level 3D CAD experience (NX experience preferred)

• Ability to organize a sequence of tasks on a project to meet commitment

dates.

• Strong attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality designs.

• Fast learner, and able to listen and accept constructive feedback.

• Able to communicate well with others and convey ideas, both orally and written.

• Ability to work a variety of shifts.

• Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluids and stress analysis

(mechanical skills).

Qualifications:

• Education (Indicate required and/or preferred education for this job)

• BE/B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering required (or equivalent job-related experience)

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Mold Design with relevant experience.

Related Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in Mechanical/Mold Design preferred.
