Educational Requirements

Service Line Responsibilities

• Design and develop plastics trims for global passenger cars. Perimeters: Bumper, Tailgate, Lighting, Body Claddings, interior trims, I/P, floor console
• Interact with client engineers, understand the inputs and execute the designs independently with little supervision.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to manage deliverables, participate in design reviews and meetings and achieve program requirements.
• Lead a team of 2-3 members for a perimeter/ program.
• Good communication skills to discuss with onsite engineers and clients to understand the requirements.

Additional Responsibilities

• B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering with 39 years in plastics product design for automotive cars PD tools: CATIA V5, NX, Teamcenter, Windchill
• Strong knowledge of product development cycle (NPD), plastics materials and manufacturing processes.
• Good knowledge of plastics design guidelines and tooling fundamentals.
• Knowledge of automotive safety standards like ECE FMVSS desirable.
• Skills to perform regulatory checks on style surfaces for passenger pedestrian safety (ECE-26).
• Skills on assembly management and OEM drawing creation will be added advantage
• Working knowledge with European or American clients with cross cultural sensitivity.
• Excellent communication skills written, verbal and listening.
