Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in Creo Sheet Metal, GD&T, and Weldment Design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing sheet metal and welded assemblies, creating manufacturing drawings, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop sheet metal components and welded assemblies using PTC Creo.
• Create detailed 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and BOMs.
• Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) as per ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and design validation.
• Develop weldment structures, fabrication drawings, and assembly documentation.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams for design feasibility.
• Support engineering change management and design modifications.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in PTC Creo (Sheet Metal & Weldment Modules).
• Good knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards.
• Hands-on experience in fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• Expertise in assembly design, BOM creation, and detailing.
• Understanding of DFMA principles and tolerance analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
