Design Engineer

Job Title: Engineer (Solid Edge)

Location: Pune

Experience: 3 - 7 Years

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift: First / Second / Night Shift (as per business requirement)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop filtration systems using Solid Edge.
• Create and modify 3D part models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Develop engineering documentation and perform engineering calculations.
• Ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables with high quality standards.
• Review drawings and provide quality checks for junior engineers.
• Support continuous improvement, standardization, and VAVE initiatives.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams in the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.
• Ensure compliance with customer standards, engineering processes, and internal quality procedures.
• Work with engineering tools such as Teamcenter, SAP, and other engineering management systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Skills:

• 4-7 years of experience in Mechanical Design.
• Strong hands-on experience in Solid Edge.
• Expertise in 3D Part Modelling, 3D Assembly Modelling, and 2D Drafting.
• Experience in Manufacturing Drawings, GA Drawings, and BOM preparation.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and engineering documentation.
• Knowledge of Teamcenter and SAP is an added advantage.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in Filtration Systems, Industrial Equipment, Process Equipment, or Mechanical Product Design.
• Exposure to engineering calculations and design validation.
• Experience in design standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education:

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
