Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities :

• Create and modify 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar CAD software.
• Prepare manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings.
• Develop detailed part drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and shop-floor documentation.
• Review engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations to prepare accurate drawings.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, quality, and procurement teams regarding design changes.
• Maintain drawing revisions and document control records.
• Support product development and process improvement initiatives.
• Prepare layout drawings, structural drawings, and equipment drawings as required.
• Assist in resolving manufacturing and assembly issues related to drawings.
• Archive and update drawing databases and technical records.

Required Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, Design Engineering, or related field.
• 2-5 years of drafting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, CATIA, etc.).
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of fabrication, machining, sheet metal, welding, and assembly practices.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
