Design Engineer- Seats

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive seats, seat frames, brackets, mechanisms, and related components using SolidWorks.
• Prepare 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
• Perform design modifications based on customer requirements and engineering changes.
• Ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, dimensional accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with production, quality, purchase, and manufacturing teams for product development.
• Support prototype development, testing, validation, and resolution of design-related issues.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and GD&T requirements.
• Maintain design documentation, drawing revisions, and engineering change records.

Required Skills

• Mandatory hands-on experience in SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of 3D modelling, part modelling, assemblies, and 2D drawing generation.
• Understanding of automotive seat structures, sheet metal components, fabrication, and assembly processes.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and BOM preparation.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
