Design Engineer - Mechnical

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop 2D/3D models and technical drawings using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools

• Design marine components and assemblies in line with project specifications and industry standards

• Collaborate with production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability

• Revise and update designs based on feedback, testing, and client requirements

• Prepare BOMs (Bill of Materials) and support documentation for manufacturing and procurement

• Ensure compliance with marine engineering codes, safety regulations, and quality standards

• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

• Support client proposal preparation by providing technical inputs, design estimates, and documentation as required

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Marine Engineering or related field

• 2-4 years of experience in design engineering, preferably in marine or heavy manufacturing industries

• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, Creo, Inventor)

• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and fabrication processes

• Good communication and documentation skills

• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
