Design Engineer (Automotive Seating Plastic- Complete Seat)

Role & responsibilities :

• 3-5 Years of good design experience in complete Seat and integration
• Strong Knowledge of Automotive Seating System
• Experience and awareness of AIS, FMVSS, ECE, EURONCAP, regulations applicable for vehicle collision, Interior Impact, and flammability of interior materials.
• Engineering feasibility check of styling surface.
• Hands on experience on surfacing/solid modeling/Drawing creation in CAD / UGNX/CATIA software.
• Understanding of the design tools like DFMEA, and DFM-DFA.
• Knowledge of GD&T application on plastic parts & tolerance stack-up analysis

Good presentation and communication skills.

Preferred candidate profile :

• Be responsible for the CAD design and development of Seating system components in UGNX and CATIA V5
• PLM Change management (Data Management and Release).
• Proposal Creation, 3D/2D creation, review, discussion
• Planning drawing creation- layout creation i.e. safety, comfort, environment
• 3D ASM integration
• Ensure data is up to date and reflects the required levels of maturity at any given point in time.
• PLM Teamcenter Handling for Release Processes.
• Provide CAD support, leading and progressing the design in line with the program timescales and deliverable cadence
• Should be able to generate Master sections
• To check and manage clearance to interface parts.
• Support pre-production builds (both virtual and physical)
• Ability to work kinematics & DMU tool.
• Ensuring that the all project deliverables are met on time.
