Design Engineer and Estimator

Civil/Architectural professional with 2-3 years of experience in design, estimation, and project support, possessing strong expertise in 3D civil modeling software. Skilled in preparing accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, project planning, and detailed design models for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Take-Offs

• Measure materials, labor, and project quantities from architectural and construction drawings.
• Prepare accurate take-offs and quotations for assigned customer projects.
• Ensure all estimates align with project specifications and requirements.

Data Collection & Analysis

• Collect and analyze customer quotations, project data, and pricing information.
• Develop customer-specific notes, workflows, and standard operating procedures for team members.
• Maintain accurate project records and databases.

Estimation Support

• Assist senior estimators with cost analysis, market research, and proposal preparation.
• Support the preparation of reports, tender submissions, and project documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of estimation processes.

Project Coordination

• Understand client requirements, project scope, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with team leaders and managers to develop efficient project execution processes.
• Ensure project deliverables meet customer expectations and company standards.

Reporting & Quality Control

• Prepare, review, and verify project reports, estimates, and customer data.
• Monitor the accuracy and quality of work performed by team members.
• Maintain documentation and reporting standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, SketchUp, or similar 3D civil design software.
• Strong knowledge of quantity surveying, cost estimation, and construction drawings.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in estimation and reporting.
