Design Coordinator

Role & responsibilities

• Lead as the design coordination interface between the client, design consultants, contractors, statutory bodies, and PMC team.
• Crosscheck and ensue that the design submissions fulfill the client requirements along with statutory requirements, site-specific requirements,end-user requirements, OEMs/ special equipments requirements.
• Monitor design deliverables, drawing submissions, reviews, and approvals against the project schedule and approved cost budget.
• Lead and conduct design coordination meetings, prepare agenda, minutes of meetings, action trackers, regular follow-ups.
• Coordinate RFIs, queries, design clarifications required for construction execution, etc.
• Track GFC drawings, design revisions, pending approvals, and outstanding design comments and maintain design registers and drawing trackers.
• Monitor design changes and coordinate assessment of their cost, time, and scope implications.
• Coordinate with planning, construction, and commercial teams to address design-related project constraints.
• Support timely and coordinated design delivery to achieve project milestones and overall project objectives

• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and identify coordination issues.
• Strong understanding of project schedules, design deliverable tracking, and construction interfaces.
• Proficiency in reviewing drawings in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM Coordination Softwares, equivalent.
• Familiar with design coordination and document management platforms such as Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or equivalent systems.
