Deputy Stores Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring smooth handling of all inventory, material movement, and documentation based on (ABC) analysis.
• Manage end-to-end inventory control, including receiving, storing, issuing, tracking, and recording stock items.
• Maintain accurate stock registers, GRNs, inward/outward entries, and ERP records (e.g., Zoho Inventory or similar systems).
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement teams on material plans arriving to allocate the location (Based on layout)
• Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation to ensure zerodiscrepancies.
• Ensure proper storage conditions, FIFO/LIFO practices, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Procurement, teams for timely material availability and documentation updates.
• Verify and manage invoices, bills, and material consumption reports for finance and audit purposes.
• Lead and supervise store assistants, labourers, and handlers, ensuring adherence to SOPs and work discipline.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports and share MIS updates with management.
• Implement inventory optimization strategies to reduce stock-out risks and control excess or obsolete materials.
• Ensure proper handling and tracking of tools, consumables, spares, machinery, and project-specific equipment.
• Continuously improve store processes, documentation accuracy, and material flow efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile

• Any Graduate with 3+ years of experience in Stores management
• Good knowledge in ERP software
• Good communication skills
