Deputy Nursing Superintendent/ Assistant Nursing Superintendent

Role & responsibilities

• Assist the Nursing Superintendent in overall nursing administration.
• Supervise nursing services across OPD, IPD, ICU, OT, Emergency, Cath Lab, NICU, PICU, Dialysis, and other specialty areas.
• Ensure implementation of NABH standards, nursing policies, and SOPs.
• Monitor nursing documentation and patient care quality.
• Prepare and manage duty rosters and manpower deployment.
• Conduct nursing audits and quality improvement activities.
• Ensure medication safety and patient safety practices.
• Monitor infection prevention and control compliance.
• Coordinate with Medical Superintendent, HR, Quality, Infection Control, and departmental HODs.
• Conduct nursing orientation, competency assessments, and in-service training.
• Handle patient complaints related to nursing services.
• Ensure statutory compliance and nursing council regulations.
• Maintain nursing records, reports, and departmental KPIs.
• Participate in disaster management drills and emergency preparedness.

Preferred candidate profile

• M.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing
• Valid State Nursing Council Registration
• Certification/Exposure to NABH Standards will be preferred.
