Deputy Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. Providing commercial support to Sales team in bidding activities, major projects. Scrutinizing the contracts, participating in discussion with internal & external customers, for deviations, contributing to finalization of commercial terms & conditions, contractual obligations, statutory requirements and the assessment of risk for Pan India Contracts for all segments.
2. Monitor and Identify Contractual risks and penalties with escalation to management, pre-check of Approvals & adherence to company policies.
3. Instituting internal control system of order booking, monitoring order booking forecast. Conducting order booking forecast review with zonal sales manager.
4. Conducting Order Intake in SAP & VIEW Portal.
5. Post award contractual support to regions (for contract administration). Review/negotiation of bank guarantee texts with Banks/Customers (as necessary), authorization for issuance and bond/BG management• Support to Regions on preparation of variations/cost claims and extension of time {EOT) claims. Negotiation & settlement of penalties/deductions imposed by Customers. Advice on Contractual & Financial Issues. Handling Contract Related Correspondence of the Project (supporting role only).
6. Responsible for LC structuring, confirmation, execution, discounting etc. Review letters of credit at the drafting stage and advised customers of any necessary changes (i.e. amendments). Process and comply with all requirements listed under any given Letter of Credit. Communicated with internal and external customers of LC.
7. Lead the O2C team (from customer creation, order Intake in SAP and accounts receivable) on daily basis and ensure the appropriate flow is as per company policies.
8. Managed team by offering support and constructive feedback to improve skills and maximize potential.
