Job Purpose:

Responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting for Power/EPC projects. The role ensures timely execution of project activities by coordinating with engineering, procurement, construction, subcontractors, and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. 
   Project Planning Scheduling
   
   
   
   • 
     Develop and maintain the overall Project Baseline Schedule in line with contractual milestones.
     
   
   
   • 
     Prepare detailed WBS, activity schedules, resource plans, and execution timelines.
     
   
   
   • 
     Develop and update Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 project schedules.
     
   
   
   • 
     Establish activity sequences, dependencies, milestones, and critical paths.
     
   
   
   
   


2. 
   Progress Monitoring
   
   
   
   • 
     Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly progress against the approved baseline.
     
   
   
   • 
     Track actual progress versus planned progress and identify delays/slippages.
     
   
   
   • 
     Prepare S-Curves, Progress Curves, Histograms, and Look-Ahead Plans.
     
   
   
   • 
     Conduct regular site visits to validate physical progress.
     
   
   
   
   


3. 
   Power Project Coordination
   
   
   
   • 
     Coordinate planning activities for substation, transmission, generation, electrical, civil, erection, commissioning, and associated infrastructure works, as applicable.
     
   
   
   • 
     Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC, Safety, Commercial, and Site teams.
     
   
   
   • 
     Ensure engineering drawings, materials, manpower, and equipment are aligned with construction requirements.
     
   
   
   
   


4. 
   Delay Analysis Recovery Planning
   
   
   
   • 
     Identify critical activities and potential schedule risks.
     
   
   
   • 
     Analyze reasons for project delays and prepare Delay Analysis Reports.
     
   
   
   • 
     Develop Catch-up/Recovery Plans for delayed activities.
     
   
   
   • 
     Monitor corrective actions and ensure timely implementation.
     
   
   
   
   


5. 
   MIS Management Reporting
   
   
   
   • 
     Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR), Weekly Progress Reports (WPR), and Monthly Progress Reports (MPR).
     
   
   
   • 
     Prepare project dashboards and management presentations for review by Project Head/Management.
     
   
   
   • 
     Highlight key achievements, constraints, risks, and upcoming activities.
     
   
   
   • 
     Provide accurate project data for management decision-making.
     
   
   
   
   


6. 
   Resource Planning
   
   
   
   • 
     Prepare manpower, equipment, material, and subcontractor deployment plans.
     
   
   
   • 
     Monitor resource productivity and utilization against project requirements.
     
   
   
   • 
     Identify resource gaps that may impact project schedules.
     
   
   
   
   


7. 
   Billing Commercial Coordination
   
   
   
   • 
     Coordinate with Billing/QS and Commercial teams for planned versus billed quantities.
     
   
   
   • 
     Track work completion and ensure planning data supports timely client billing.
     
   
   
   • 
     Monitor quantity targets, certification milestones, and contractual deliverables.
     
   
   
   
   


8. 
   Meeting Review Responsibilities
   
   
   
   • 
     Conduct/participate in weekly project planning and progress review meetings.
     
   
   
   • 
     Prepare MOM and track action points to closure.
     
   
   
   • 
     Coordinate with site teams to obtain timely and accurate progress updates.
     
   
   
   
   


9. 
   Risk Forecasting
   
   
   
   • 
     Identify schedule risks and prepare mitigation plans.
     
   
   
   • 
     Maintain project Risk Opportunity Register from a planning perspective.
     
   
   
   • 
     Prepare forecast completion dates based on current project performance.
     
   
   
   
   


10. 
    Planning Software Documentation
    

• 
  Maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project / Excel, as required.
  


• 
  Maintain planning records, baseline revisions, progress updates, and schedule documentation.
  


• 
  Ensure proper version control of project schedules and reports.
