Deputy Manager-Tool Room

Role Summary:
Responsible for managing Tool Room operations, including manufacturing, maintenance, modification, and repair of dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and tooling required for sheet metal and component production. Ensure tooling availability, quality, cost optimization, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Tool Room activities and manpower.
• Ensure timely availability and maintenance of dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures.
• Plan preventive maintenance and tool refurbishment schedules.
• Support new tool development, trials, and product launches.
• Analyze tooling failures and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
• Drive TPM, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S initiatives.
• Monitor tool life, tooling costs, and inventory control.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Tool Engineering, or Production Engineering.
• 10-15 years of experience in Tool Room operations, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in sheet metal dies, progressive dies, press tools, jigs, fixtures, and CNC machining.
• Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, CAD/CAM, and Tool Design.
